The colourful, interactive play bus is coming to Lanarkshire, so that parents and carers of tots can hop on board and find out how to play, talk and read, to give youngsters the best start in life.
The vehicle's visit is part of a drive to highlight the importance of parents spending more time playing, talking and reading with young children, to benefit children's learning and development at an early age.
Inside, the ‘PlayTalkRead’ bus will be kitted out with games, DVDs, interactive books, a baby massage area and resources to give people plenty of ideas of ways they can engage with their 0-3 year old.
Interaction between parents and their children aged 0-3 is of enormous value to their future development not only in the short-term, but in terms of their overall life chances.
