Hamiltonpark Racecourse Youth and Family Learning Service are once again hosting a fantastic free event to celebrate Father’s Day 12-4pm on Sunday 17th June and celebrating Year of Young People!
Billed as ‘The fun way to spend father’s day’, the event offers something for every member of the family, from our Tot and Toddlers Zone with Mess Around and Step Wee Ceilidh; Teens and Tweenies Zone where you can enjoy tasters and demos of various types of activities available from local Sports clubs to Scouts; not to mention the Go Outdoor Zone with inflatables and Climbing Wall; Scottish Fire and Rescue. In the Creative Play Zone there’s a chance to learn CPR or why not visit our new partners from the Glasgow Science Festival and Strathclyde University who will make your mind boggle. So whatever the weather, call the cousins, pack a picnic and make a day of it!
A firm favourite is our Mascot Race, where local mascots battle it out for the title of Mascot Marvel – As well as the return of some old favourites we anticipate the addition of some new, young pretenders!
Entry to the event and almost all activities on the day are free of charge for families. The only area charging will be the Community Carnival area where local groups and organisations will host fundraising stalls to raise money for their activities. Charges are limited here to £1 per turn/ shot to ensure that the day remains affordable and fun for all.
We are expecting big numbers on the day, so advise that the best way to avoid the queues at the gate is to get your hands on our Fast track registration form, fill it in and bring with you in the day for speedier entry! Forms can be picked up from South Lanarkshire Libraries.
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Family Man Fun Day are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
