Come along to Summerlee’s Victorian Steam Fair – it’s the perfect opportunity to see Summerlee’s Steam Fleet, including the Fowler road roller, Tigger and the Foster Engines fired up and in full steam! There will also be a host of visiting engines, from miniature to full-size, as well as a ride-on miniature steam train!

It’s a great opportunity to get up close and experience some of our proud industrial heritage in all its glory.

• See Summerlee’s Steam Fleet fired up!
• Miniature to full-size engines, including a ride-on steam train
• B Flat Miners musical performances
• Wash Day activities & Victorian portraits
• Children’s crafts, traditional fair and more!

If steam’s not your thing, or you don’t want to get your hands dirty, the event has a range of other fair activities for you to enjoy. Why not pose for an authentic Victorian family portrait; enjoy traditional children’s games, arts and crafts; join staff at the miners’ row cottages for wash day activities; or simply have fun at the traditional Victorian fair? Summerlee’s resident band the B Flat Miners will also treat crowds to a performance of favourite traditional songs.

Doors open at 11am, with activities taking place throughout the day.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Steam Fair Weekend are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
