About Four Bridges Family Cycle Ride
The second of our monthly Family Cycle Rides starting from Strathclyde Park. The ride is 5 miles in total and is led by trained Ride Leaders from the Lanarkshire Sustrans Volunteer Group. Apart from one small section the ride will be on traffic free paths.
We start at the Watersports Centre at Strathclyde Park and make our way round the loch to the west entrance at the Holiday Inn Exprress. We will then follow the new cycling and walking path over Raith Interchange to connect with National Cycle Route 74 at Bothwell Road then follow this up into Hamilton along the paved part of Route 74. At The Furlongs we will drop down into Low Parks taking the path by the Mausoleum and finally making our way back to the Watersports Centre.
If anyone still has the energy and would like a slightly longer ride we will be happy to extend the route by cycling round Strathclyde Loch after returning to the start. This will be an additional 4 miles.
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Four Bridges Family Cycle Ride are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
