Live By The Loch

Broadwood Stadium will welcome some of the biggest names on the Scottish music scene for brand new one day festival Live by the Loch on Saturday 2nd June!

Live By The Loch

About Live By The Loch

Broadwood: Live by the Loch will welcome some of the best Scottish musical talent for a jam-packed night of entertainment. Only a 20-minute drive from the centre of Glasgow, with easy bus and train links to and from the city, this brand-new festival is the latest event to be announced on the Scottish traditional music scene.

Live by the Loch will welcome the legendary Dougie MacLean to open the night. As he celebrates 40 years since the release of ‘Caledonia’, one of Scotland’s best-known songs, Dougie will be entertaining the Broadwood Stadium crowds with his catalogue of music that he has performed world-wide to millions over the last four decades.

Carrying on the night of music will be Trad-Rock band Mànran, one of the best-known and best-loved bands on the Scottish folk scene today. In huge demand, Mànran continue to tour Europe and beyond, playing a number of prestigious festivals throughout the year. At Live by the Loch Mànran will play to a festival home-crowd for the first time since their sold-out show at Celtic Connections earlier this year.

Finishing the night in style at Live by the Loch will be the Red Hot Chilli Pipers. This world-renowned bagpipe rock band went from a cameo appearance at T in the Park in 2004 with The Darkness to opening the main stage in their own right in 2014. The past ten years have seen the Red Hot Chilli Pipers become one of the most famous and most loved bagpipe bands in the world.

There will be food and beverages available and organisers hope for an all-inclusive atmosphere with a number of activities that will keep the whole family entertained to be confirmed in the coming weeks.

Tickets for this unmissable celebration of Scottish music will be available from 10am on Friday 23rd March from here: https://www.nlleisure.co.uk/news/broadwood-live-by-the-loch
