About 108 Sun Salutation Challenge - CANCELLED

After the success of 2018's Winter Solstice 108 Challenge we are giving you another 4 chances in 2019 to challenge your Yoga practice and help the local community at the same time. This donation-based class will pace you through a series of sun salutations aimed at enlivening the body during the significant energy shifts of the seasons. You can do as many challenges throughout the year as you wish and complete as many salutations you want. Why not share it with some friends? The choice is yours. Book your free place at pranayogastudio.co.uk.

Sun salutations are a series of beginner yoga poses performed in a continuous flowing sequence and intended to improve the strength and flexibility of the muscles.

The number 108 is a sacred and significant number appearing across many traditions.

During our Yoga practice we try to have a sense of surrender to something greater than ourselves so by choosing this practice, at a time when the earth is moving through a celestial change, we can try to experience this shift on a personal, spiritual and energetic level. It’s also a lot of fun, especially with friends!

Summer Solstice is when daylight is at its longest and night the shortest due to the north pole tilting at its closest to the sun. it is also the point of the year where the sun will be at its highest. This is a period of our high yang energy and is perfect for this yoga practice.

This is a free, donations based, class raising funds for local charities.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for 108 Sun Salutation Challenge - CANCELLED are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
