As Christmas approaches and due to popular demand, the Candlelit Festive Yin Yoga and Meditation Evenings are scheduled as follows:
Friday, 20th December: 7:30 - 9:00 pm
Friday, 27th December: 7:30 - 9:00 pm
Nourish yourself mentally and emotionally;
Take a journey inwards and find your true self;
Find inner peace and contentment;
Let go of tension from the body and mind and restore vitality;
Class will begin with Pranayama (breathing);
Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga. Asanas (postures) are held for longer periods of time. For beginners, it may range from 45 seconds to two minutes; more advanced practitioners may stay in one asana for five minutes or more.
Benefits of Yin Yoga:
• Stimulates the meridians (energy channels) bringing balance to the organs in the body;
• Improves flexibility and joint mobility;
• Calms and balances the mind and body;
• Reduces stress and anxiety;
• Works deeply on the connective tissues (fascia, tendons and ligaments);
• Can prepare for meditation practice;
Class will finish with a long relaxation/Christmas meditation.
Class suitable for beginners and intermediate.
