Love is in the air at Macdonald Hotels, with events experts from the top hotel group recording a 40% increase in wedding enquiries in the first few weeks of the new year.
When compared to the same period last year, it is clear that confidence in the wedding sector is once again booming.
To accommodate the rush to the alter newly engaged couples are invited to Macdonald Crutherland House Hotel, East Kilbride, for a wedding showcase on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 February.
Taking place from 10am couples can tour the venue, view multiple room setups and meet with the venue’s expert wedding and events team to discuss possibilities for their big day.
Local suppliers including florists, entertainment providers and specialist clothing boutiques will also be present at the February showcases.
Set in an 18th century manor house and surrounded by 37 acres of unspoiled countryside, Macdonald Crutherland House hotel is a unique and picturesque luxury four-star hotel. The secluded location feels a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of Glasgow city centre and the manicured gardens provide an idyllic backdrop for photographs.

Katrina Dunlop, Weddings Marketing Manager for Macdonald Hotels, said: “After years of uncertainty in the weddings and events sector, it is wonderful to see more couples starting to once again consider making that lifechanging walk down the aisle.
“The period between Christmas and Valentine’s Day has always been a popular time to get engaged, but when compared to the same period last year it is clear that we are moving towards pre-pandemic levels of enquiries.
“It truly is fantastic to be able to welcome brides and grooms once again to our in-person open days after hosting them virtually on an innovative online platform in 2020/21.
“We’re of course open all year round to help couples plan their day, but our early event is the perfect occasion for newly engaged couples to tour our venues and be inspired by our recommended suppliers and skilled event planning teams.”
Advance booking is recommended for the open days on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 February.
