The Scottish Music Experience tells the story of Scottish Music through memorabilia, instruments and our immersive digital experience.
Just like our inventors, explorers and entrepreneurs, Scotland’s musicians have had a massive impact across the world of popular music for decades. In many ways music has helped form the very foundation of our national identity and culture.
The origins of Scottish music are lost in the mists of time but the close links between our traditional musical roots and today’s pop hits are forever entwined.
We begin the journey by examining the history of Scottish Music, exploring the parallels between traditional folk music winding our way through the decades to the popular music we’ve all come to know and love today. There's pop, rock, folk, disco and everything in between. We'll have you dancing and singing your way out the door.
Its a true, gutsy exploration of the history of Scottish Music, showcasing the good and bad of Scotland's musical contributions to the world.
You an then sit back and relax with a drink whilst listening to some great music in either our indoor or rooftop bar.
