The St Andrew's Day Out 2014 campaign encourages Scots and visitors to Scotland to take advantage of the wealth of events and offers available throughout November to celebrate Scotland's national day. Over 200 participating attractions across the country are offering 2 for 1, kids go free or free entry, presenting a huge variety of fun days out to suit every taste, here's just a selection:
Rhuallan Raptors - Biggar - Kids Go Free
Rhuallan Raptors offer a personalised falconry experience tailored to suit your needs. Why not meet the birds up close on a Hawk Walk where you can learn to safely handle the birds and enjoy a walking tour under the supervision of an experienced guide?
World of Wings - Cumbernauld - Kids Go Free
"World of Wings is part of the Cumbernauld Outdoor Centre near Glasgow, Scotland. It is now Scotland's largest bird of prey centre open to the public. The centre has many different birds, including eagles, vultures, hawks, falcons, owls, kites and some other unusual species of birds such as parrots and a rhea!
The main aims of the centre are to help educate visitors, but at the same time provide an enjoyable day out for all the family. The centre is heavily involved in conservation and often rescue and rehablitate wild injured birds of prey.
In celebration of St Andrew's Day, you will receive one free child ticket with the purchase of an adult ticket, so all the family can enjoy a great day out!"
Paradise Island Adventure Golf - Soar at Intu Braehead - Kids Go Free
Based at Soar at Intu Braehead, the original Paradise Island Adventure Golf has two amazing 18 hole courses spread over 20,000 sq/ft. Tee off on Tiki Hut Trail or pit your wits on Maggie McCaw's Challenge. City Sightseeing Glasgow - 2 For 1
City Sightseeing bus tours are the perfect way to see Glasgow. Hop on board and explore from the double decker buses which operate regularly from 0930 until 1630, taking in the best that Glasgow has to offer.
