The evening on Saturday 27th June 2015 will be hosted in Robert Owen’s Garden, giving crowds the chance to enjoy the beautiful surroundings whilst being entertained by the music from local artists. At the end of June the festival season is well underway so it’s the perfect chance to enjoy the atmosphere right on your doorstep! Visitors will also be able to bring their own picnic, enjoy Damn Delicious burgers, New Lanark Ice Cream and artisan beer/wine!
Any artists or bands who are interested in playing a set should contact marketing@newlanark.org or call 01555 661345 by Friday 22nd May.
The event opens at 4pm for food and drink, with the first music set beginning at 5pm. The music from local artists will then continue to 8.30pm when the ‘headliner’, chosen through a Clyde 1 competition in June, will perform to close the night.
“We’re really looking forward to ‘Live at New Lanark’” said Jane Masters, New Lanark Heritage Manager. “It’s the first time we’ve ever ran an event like this, and we think it’ll be a perfect way to kick off the summer and showcase some local musical talent”
If you’re not a musician but would like to attend the event, tickets are currently on sale at www.newlanark.org, by calling 01555 661345 or emailing trust@newlanark.org. Tickets are priced at £6 for adults (2 for £10), £4 for under 16s and free for under 3s.
