Scotland’s businesses are invited to pick up ideas from environmental champions at a special series of free events to celebrate the launch of the 2016 Vision in Business for the Environment of Scotland (VIBES) Awards.
The first of these events will be held on Thursday 21st April in Edinburgh and will provide businesses with the opportunity to hear directly from previous VIBES champions in the capital including 2010 and 2013 winner Vegware and City Car Club, winner of the 2015 Transport Award.
The free sessions will be held across the country and are designed to offer local businesses the opportunity to gain insight and experience from previous VIBES winners, finalists and award organisers as well as providing a chance for local businesses to get together.
Now in its 17th year, VIBES recognises and rewards companies employing environmental best practice in their daily activity to cut down on resource use, increase sustainability, improve reputation, enhance competitiveness, support wider sustainable developments and benefit their company’s bottom-line. The awards, which are free to enter, are open to businesses of all sizes and sectors and offer an excellent platform for businesses to showcase their green credentials.

The awards not only allow businesses to find out more without feeling obliged to commit to anything but also offer networking opportunities for local companies to get together.”
VIBES is a strategic partnership between Scottish Environment Protection Agency, Scottish Government, Scottish Water, Scottish Enterprise, Highland and Islands Enterprise, Zero Waste Scotland, Energy Saving Trust and Scotland’s 2020 Climate Group. The Awards are further supported by CBI Scotland, the Institute of Directors, the Federation of Small Businesses, Bright Green Business and Quality Scotland.
