Bothwell Scarecrow Festival

The Scarecrow Festival returns in September with nine days packed full of fun things to do and see all over Bothwell!

Bothwell Scarecrow Festival

About Bothwell Scarecrow Festival

Last year’s event was brilliant. With over 450 Scarecrows displayed, 30 events and 30,000 followers it was our biggest yet!

Once again this year we have a number of new events and activities, as well as some firmly established favourites and with the support of our sponsors and everyone in the community we can make this, our 9th year, the best one yet!

It all begins with Sport Weekend, which includes the Scarecrow Champions League Football Tournament on Saturday 7th September, followed by a choice of the On Road Cycle Ride to Glasgow or Family Cycle Ride and the 5K & 10K Fun Run on Sunday 8th September.

Other highlights to look forward to this year include:

• The Famous Comedy Night (2 dates)
• Kids Party Night
• Farmers’ Market
• Family Outdoors Fun Day
• Art Exhibition
• Grand Scarecrow Parade

On Sunday 17th September we have the Grand Scarecrow Parade followed by an afternoon of fun as the playground goes ‘down on the farm’ with live entertainment, games zone and much more.

We’re hoping for sunshine but if it’s wet, the fun will continue indoors so be sure to come along. There is loads to do for everyone regardless of the weather.

To keep up to date with progress and see the latest info check out our Facebook site.

Look forward to seeing you all at the festival!
