From 12th to 20th of October, The Pumpkin Festival includes storytelling by Folksy Theatre, two workshops (wand making and potion making), vintage fun fair Halloween-themed game with a prize, HAYmazing hay maze and Halloween movie on the big screen. The event is open from 11am until 4pm.
The Pumpkin Festival will have a pumpkin patch area with 5,000 pumpkins throughout the duration of all different sizes looking for new homes! Here you will be able to choose a pumpkin and give it a forever home. Just remember to be kind to our pumpkins or you might end up in trouble with the Pumpkin Police.
A fully accessible hay maze has been assembled for attendees to find their way through and with Halloween-themed game and storytelling by Folksy Theatre, this is an experience for the whole family to enjoy.
Autumnal hot and cold treats will also be available to buy on the day to keep guests fed and watered.
This year we are adding a VIP Pumpkin Festival By Night which will take place on Saturday 12 October and Saturday 19 October from 6pm-9pm but you’ll need to book quickly as spaces are very limited. This night-time event is taken over by four evil witches who begin the experience with creepy storytelling relaying a tale about when their spells go horribly wrong.
VIPs can then partake in our potion and wand making workshops (all led by fully-trained witches) with the same day-time activities available. Our hay maze will also be open, but will you be able to escape as easily in the dark? Luckily the fire from our toast your own area might just help to light the way to let you recover from this hair-raising experience by toasting a giant marshmallow skewer or tucking into some delicious treats from our street food units – both included in our VIP experience.
Unfortunately, at night our pumpkin patch is take over by knobbly, bobbly, warty, large, small and misshaped beyond repair pumpkins that don’t like the light of day. These grounds are out and awaiting each VIP to come and take them homes. But that’s not all, our Day of the Dead DJ will be belting out a selection of spooky classic from his DJ booth as you make your decision on choosing the ugliest gourd in the patch – please note, Pumpkin Police will still be on patrol at our VIP nights.
Storytelling session session runs on the hour and half hour (first story 11am, last story 3:30pm)
We encourage all visitors coming along to dress appropriately to really enjoy the full experience.
Age 0 – 2 do not require a ticket for entry.
