Half-day Foraging Walk
With wild foraging expert Amy Rankine Hipsters & Hobos
Castlebank Horticultural Centre, Lanark, ML11 9EG
Sunday 20th October 2019
12pm - 3pm | £20pp (Under 16s £10)
Join us for the opportunity to see Castlebank Park through new eyes. Discover the range of edible nuts, seeds, fruits & berries as well as autumnal herbs and fungi throughout the park. Strolling through the trees and alongside the river we will gather the basic skills needed to identify common edibles, comparing to their poisonous and inedible lookalikes. Discuss how wild food can complement the diet as well as the nutritional benefits - you'll be amazed at the benefit of eating many common 'weeds'!
After our walk we will warm up with some foraged teas and have the opportunity to sample dishes made with wild flavours.
Limited places. To book, please email info@lanarktrust.co.uk or call 01555 728 329
Suitable for all ages & children are welcome. Please advise of dietary requirements on booking.
