About Castlebank Horticultural Centre Open Day for #WorldAlzheimerDay

Listed Under Gardening Events

21st September is #WorldAlzheimerDay. Here at Castlebank Horticultural Centre, we have been unable to run our dementia friendly garden group this year, but HOPE to return in spring 2021. On 21st September 2020 from 12pm - 3pm we will open the gates of the Horticultural Centre for those who would like to come and see the facilities we have on offer at the centre.

We will also have takeaway tea & coffee and some plants for sale. We would be delighted to chat about what kinds of dementia friendly groups or activities you'd like to see at the centre next year.

Accessible parking is available right outside the centre entrance. The address is 'Castlebank Horticultural Centre, St Patrick's Road, Lanark, ML11 9EG'.
Social distancing measures will be in place plus a hand cleaning station.

This open day event is for those able to attend independently or as a joint activity with a carer, friend, family member or support worker.

If you are unable to attend the open day but would like to give us feedback on 'dementia friendly' activities at the centre in 2021, please complete this short survey: https://forms.gle/ReSwFCDJx3eNjmLw9

The group is facilitated by the centre's Educational Gardener, sponsored by Home Instead South Lanarkshire and supported by Alzheimer Scotland.
