Are you ready for BUSHCRAFT ACADEMY?
Immersed in nature, your child will learn how to utilise the resources around you, building camp structures and shelters, learning knife and sawing skills, safe fire lighting and working together to build essential survival equipment which could help get the whole team out of sticky situations.
Each young person will be given their 'Bushcraft Challenge Card' and will work their way through the challenges throughout the programme to become 'Bushcraft Contenders', receiving their own badge and award once they have completed all the challenges!
They will learn a wide range of bushcraft skills including:
• Setting up Base Camp
• Building Natural Shelters
• Fire Lighting (including the use of the traditional 'Fire and Steel' and Fire by friction)
• Campfire cooking
• Water Filtration
• items to help their camp
• and a little navigation & foraging
This programme is suitable for young people aged 10+
Bushcraft Academy will run from 10am until 2pm on Mondays in RSPB Barons Haugh, Motherwell.
Individual sessions can be booked - Booking is Essential
