Music in Lanark are proud to present Hingin’ By A Thread at The Institute, New Lanark on Saturday 28th August!
About Music in Lanark presents Hingin’ By A Thread
Formed a number of years ago by like minded musicians just wanting to get together to make good music and have fun, Hingin' by a Threed has been in its present format since August 2016.
The band enjoys playing music from Scotland, Ireland and America including jigs, reels and slow airs. They have recently introduced some Bluegrass numbers into their repertoire, along with some haunting movie themes, making an eclectic mix of music. Based in North Ayrshire in Scotland, the Threeds regularly play in local pubs, restaurants and folk clubs. They also toured venues in Ireland in 2019. The normal line-up includes fiddle, guitar, mandolin, 4 and 5 string banjo and bouzouki.
