Ever wanted to learn to sword fight? Are you interested in History? Or maybe you just want to get active and learn something new to shake off the lockdown blues? Our Beginners Broadsword course is just the thing for you!
In Saorsa, we specialise in the use of the Basket-hilted Broadsword, a Scottish weapon used for hundreds of years! You will be taught by our expert instructors, Ben and Victoria, who who, together, have over 10yrs of sword fighting experience so you know you're in good hands.
Our six week course is designed to give you the basics in broadsword and sparring while building your fitness, confidence and having fun in the process! And at the end of the course, for anyone with a competitive flair, you will be invited to take part in a friendly in house tournament. We will provide all the equipment you need but we do have a limit of 8 spaces for this course.
The course will run every Monday from 6-7pm for 6 weeks. We are situated in the South Side of Glasgow on Crawfurd Road, just a five minute walk away from Burnside train station.
If you're interested and want to book your space, you can visit our website www.saorsaswords.co.uk or email us at saorsa.swords@btinternet.com.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
