Over the last four years Lanark’s art scene has gone from strength to strength with the refurbishment of the historic Medieval Tolbooth to create a beautiful contemporary art gallery and community space.
'Clyde Valley... Garden of Scotland' follows on from the success of 'Romance of the Falls' and '36 Views of Tinto' Exhibitions, inviting artists to respond to the local landscape which has been an inspiration to many great painters and writers including JMW Turner and William Wordsworth.
This exhibition continues The Tolbooth’s commitment to support the high standard of art and craft in this beautiful part of Central Scotland.
This promises to be a wonderful exhibition.
The Tolbooth looks forward to giving you a warm and safe welcome.
