Scottish Creature Tales

Join Allison Galbraith (Tue, Wed) and Kirsten Milliken (Thu, Fri) for some wonderful tales all about the creatures around Scotland. Meet animal friends from tiny hedgehogs to majestic stags with familiar rhymes, songs and a riot of joining-in opportunities.
Sustainable Creature Crafts

Animal Portraits
Use an egg carton to create a 3D portrait of one of Scotland's woodland animals. Will your portrait be of a mouse, badger, hedgehog or fox? Drop off your egg cartons at the museum entrance.
Bird Feeders
Give nature a helping hand by making your own pinecone bird feeder to attract wild birds into your green space.
Bug Hotel
Help us rebuild our bug hotel to give the site’s bugs and beasties a place to live over the winter.
Bugs and Beasties Trail
Download or pick up our illustrated trail and see how many hidden beasties, from snails to slugs, you can find on your way up the hill and around the farm.
