We will not spend time introducing the sewing machine or learning to thread on this class, this is covered in our Beginners Sewing Workshop.

In this 3 and half hour workshop students will learn how to measure themselves and select the pattern size that is right for them. Then guided by our experienced tutor they will learn how to read and understand the pattern markings and cut their fabric. Using our excellent Janome sewing machines you will then construct your beautiful new pyjamas.

Classes take place in our welcoming studio in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire. Our tutors are experienced and friendly and class numbers are limited.

What's Included:
As well as all the tea you can drink we will provide Janome sewing machines and overlockers, all of the tools and threads you will need to complete your projects as well as any interfacing and elastic that you will need. You will also receive your own copy of the Tilly and The Button's Jamie Pyjama pattern to keep to make again at home.

What do I need to bring:
Depending on your size you will need to bring 2-3m of light weight woven fabric, such as cotton. You are free to bring this with you or we have a selection of fabric for sale in the studio.

This class is for you if:
You can thread and operate a sewing machine, you may have completed our beginners course or you have tried a few simple projects and you are ready to start your first dressing making challenge.

This class is not for you you if:
You have never operated a sewing machine before. If you don't know how to thread a machine yet or wind the bobbin. If you haven't tackled any beginners projects such as a simple tote bag try our Beginners Sewing Course first, or come along for some one to one sessions.
