Head on down to New Lanark on Saturday the 19th of April for our Spring Heritage Festival!
Our free, family-friendly Spring Heritage Festival is all about showcasing Lanarkshire’s fascinating history and bringing to life some of the amazing stories and objects that make up our community’s unique heritage.
Local groups like Lanark Library Archive, Lanark and District Archaeological Society and Lanarkshire Family History Society will be there to shine a light on their historical collections, deliver talks and activities, and answer all your burning questions about Lanarkshire’s local history.
We’ll be opening up our own archive to exhibit items from our amazing collection and share some of the exciting research our dedicated volunteers have uncovered.
If you want to learn more about local history, take part in on-the-spot family history searches, find volunteering opportunities and or simply want to connect with people with a passion for heritage, drop into the River Room (located in the Visitor Centre reception) between 10am – 4pm on Saturday the 19th of April and experience the past being brought to life!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
