Ever dreamed of crafting something beautiful and sustainable with your own two hands? Join Southside Stitcher at Jackton Distillery for a cosy beginner's crochet workshop where you'll learn the fundamental stitches and techniques to get you hooked!
This isn't just any crochet class - we'll be diving into the rich heritage of Scottish farming, and exploring the journey of locally sourced, traditionally-spun yarns from Lanarkshire. Imagine working with the softest wool from heritage breeds, lovingly processed right here in Scotland, surrounded by the rolling hills and barley fields of the Lowlands.
In this hands-on workshop, you'll:
* Master the basics: Learn to create a slip knot, chain stitch, and double crochet – the building blocks of a beginner crochet granny square.
* Understand your materials: Discover the unique qualities of Scottish wools and their connection to the land and the animals that provide them, in the luxurious surroundings of our independent farm distillery.
* Start a beautiful project: Begin creating a simple and elegant project using exquisite, locally sourced yarn to take home.
