This Valentine’s Day, ditch the overpriced roses and the awkward three-course set menu and treat the one you love (or the one you like well enough) to something far better: Love, Lies & Lidl Wine, a comedy night that understands romance is messy, hilarious, and best enjoyed with a cheap glass of red.
This one-night-only show brings together a cracking lineup for an evening of big laughs, brutal truths, and stories that might make you hold hands… or quietly reassess your life choices. Opening the night is the incredible Tia Rey, bringing sharp wit, fearless honesty, and the kind of charm that wins a room in seconds.
Headlining is multi-award-winning comedy legend Viv Gee, delivering world-class stand-up from one of Scotland’s most loved performers. Add in several special guests, each serving up previews of their upcoming Glasgow International Comedy Festival shows, and you’ve got a rare chance to see half a dozen festival acts in one perfectly chaotic night.
Whether you’re loved up, newly dating, married, divorced, or just here for the laughs, this is a proper Valentine’s night out, funny, inclusive, and refreshingly honest. It’s the ideal way to spoil that special someone without pretending you’re in a rom-com.
Guiding you through the madness, playing Cupid with a cutlass, is your master of ceremonies: Pete Murphy, a.k.a. The Pirate King. Expect crowd work, mischief, and just enough romantic encouragement to keep things interesting.
One night. One lineup. One chance.
Love, Lies & Lidl Wine , because nothing says romance like laughing together.
