This year's play, by Simon McCallum, begins with Jesus's baptism and entry into his ministry. Suspicion around Him builds as He enters Jerusalem. The religious leaders do not recognise Him as the Messiah, God's chosen one. He and His twelve disciples face their wrath, ultimately leading to Jesus's death on the cross.
Including many iconic scenes like the Last Supper and the Garden of Gethsemane, Drama Kirk's Passion Play will transport you to first century Israel and let you be there as the events of Holy Week unfold.
The play should last around an hour.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
