Age Scotland and Lanarkshire Carers partnership event - a gathering for carers of people living with dementia
Do you provide care for a friend or family member with dementia, and live in North or South Lanarkshire?
Age Scotland and Lanarkshire Carers are delighted to be hosting a free in person gathering aimed at unpaid carers of people living with dementia.
There will be a range of local and national organisations providing information and advice in a marketplace (see FAQ below for confirmed attendees)
Opportunity to take part in conversations about what is important to you as a carer so your views can be represented in policy discussions
Free goodie bag, refreshments and lunch, and the chance to take part in a free raffle
Gentle movement and relaxation exercise - no experience needed and suitable for all
Agenda for the day
• 10:15 – 11:00 Arrival - Tea, Coffee, refreshments, Marketplace stalls - free information and advice from organisations
• 11:00 – 11:10 Introduction
• 11:10 – 12:15 Carer Conversation – small group discussions
• 12:15 – 13:15 Lunch and Marketplace stalls
• 13:15 – 14:00 Health@Hand – Scottish Ballet
In this session Scottish Ballet will draw on their Health @Hand® programme to guide you through some gentle movement and breathing techniques that will nourish and rejuvenate you. You do not have to have any previous movement experience to enjoy the benefits of this fully inclusive session.
