About Excelsior Stadium
Although best known as the home of Scottish Football League side Airdrieonians, the Excelsior stadium also offers superb amenities in the form of a range of function suites and a brand new public football facility.
Essentially, there are two aspects to the community use of the facilities at Excelsior Stadium.
First, the stadium boasts state-of-the-art playing surfaces, meaning that the football pitches can be in use seven days per week, without fear of wearing them out. Stadium staff can readily accommodate full 11-a-side matches as well as regular small-sided games for professionals and amateurs, adults and under-age players alike, and these playing facilities are backed up by superb changing and showering amenities.
However, the excellent ‘behind the scenes’ facilities should really take the limelight. A variety of meeting rooms and dining suites offer support for functions with attendances from 20 to in excess of 200 people.
Built with flexibility in mind, the Excelsior Stadium provides a novel and striking backdrop for just about any business or social occasion. The suites have regularly hosted board meetings, training courses, business conferences and sales meetings for companies and organisations in the private, public and voluntary sectors throughout North Lanarkshire. The facility has also provided a memorable and unique venue for birthday parties, communions, wedding receptions and all manner of functions and social occasions. Finally, each year, a schedule of Christmas Party events is drawn up, providing a great option for the perfect party venue.
