Rising living costs and changes to the benefits system are driving increasing numbers of vulnerable South Lanarkshire families to use emergency food services. Community Link's Food Poverty project provides a community-led and volunteer-driven route out of food crisis through service provision and co-ordination with current food activities across South Lanarkshire.

We provide support to two Food Co-ops that work closely with other response services, such as Food Banks, Breakfast Clubs and Community Cafes.

At the Fruits and Shoots Food Co-op (Hillhouse) you can pick up single items as well as mix-and-match items such as fruit and vegetables, and other household goods are also available.

Set up and run by local people, Hillhouse Community Group is a group of volunteers who are actively working in their community with local partners and agencies to enhance community involvement and spirit.
