Northside Wood is a strip of woodland south of Cumbernauld village. As the woodland is relatively young it is still developing. Areas of scrub and remnants of agricultural hedgerows provide habitats for birds.
Follow Dowanfield Road around to the right, past the school and playing fields on your left and park at the very end of the road. Follow the footpath away from the playing fields and turn immediately right to access Northside Wood.
