The Hope Café Lanarkshire is a new peer led project in Lanarkshire. We want to provide opportunities for people within Lanarkshire to engage in activities that are proven to support positive mental health and wellbeing and offer valuable peer support to each other. From March 2014 we will be operating a community cafe in Lanark aimed at raising funds for our project. Within the cafe we will provide good quality affordable food and access to various self help resources proven to support positive mental health and well-being in Lanarkshire. We want to support a mentally healthy Lanarkshire. The Hope Cafe aims to provide free access to many activities proven to benefit a positive sense of mental health and wellbeing in various locations throughout rural South Lanarkshire.

The Cafe
Our Community Cafe operates from our Health & Well-being Hub at 8 Wide Close, Lanark. ML11 7LX on a Wednesday from 10am-2.45pm (hot food orders stop at 2.15pm).

The cafe is one of our fundraising streams and all income generated from the cafe goes towards helping us to facilitate various activities that are proven to promote and support positive mental health and well-being.
Some of these activities will be available within the cafe setting, and some will be offered in various locations throughout rural South Lanarkshire. The aim of the cafe is to provide good quality affordable food and a welcoming environment.

Within the cafe we also have a resource area where individuals who may be experiencing difficulties with their mental health can pick up various self help resources and information on support available within Lanarkshire. We also have lots of good information and resources for people who want to ensure that they are doing everything they can to aid a positive sense of mental health & well-being including Steps to Stress materials and Well Connected Information - which enables people in Lanarkshire to connect with opportunities to support their mental health. This includes the opportunity to access a free 8 week leisure pass for South Lanarkshire Leisure facilities.

Pop in to the cafe to see what's on the menu.
