Especially aimed at the 50+ age group, the Young at Heart festival aims to celebrate the arts as engaging and accessible for all and this 12th year sees the return of many of our most popular events.

On top of a fabulous array of shows in cultural venues throughout the area, there will – as always be the popular Free Recitals at 2, Scottish Opera, afternoon performances and much more.

Look out for Arts in the Park at Chatelherault Country Park. As always, this promises to be a fabulous event on the first weekend of the festival when grandparents or older relatives are encouraged to bring the family for a day out to the park where there will be a range of activities for all the family.

There will also be informative talks, stimulating exhibitions and an exciting range of participatory sessions giving you the chance to have a go at a digital photography, crafts or textiles workshop.

If you are interested in the arts then this festival is for you, and we are confident that you’ll find something in this unique programme which appeals!

If you have a South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture Activage Membership then look out for the special discounts throughout.

Places are limited for most events so advance booking is advisable!
