Carluke couple Alistair and Stacey Hutton were married at the picturesque Hamilton location, with 16 family and friends able to attend in line with the current guidelines.
Lanark Grammar music teacher Stacey said: “Our day was amazing and Chatelherault was the perfect setting for our intimate wedding.
“I honestly believe that this was meant to be, as our wedding was so perfect the way that it was, although we would have loved to share the day with more of our family and friends.
“I cannot thank all of the staff and suppliers who made our wedding run so smoothly.
“This included Jamie Brownlie who was a former music pupil of mine and played the bagpipes for us on the day.”
Alistair, who is originally from East Kilbride, and Stacey met around two and a half years ago and got engaged last year while on holiday in Torremolinos.
The couple didn’t want a long engagement and on their return from the popular Spanish tourist spot, booked their wedding abroad for this year in Cyprus.
Having had to rebook their dream wedding following the collapse of Thomas Cook, the couple were dealt another blow when the global pandemic began to spread towards the end of March this year.
Stacey said: “We were absolutely devastated at the news that we couldn't go abroad to get married.
“But obviously the safety of all our family and friends was the most important thing.”
Having originally booked Chatelherault on the morning just before lockdown was announced, the couple then had to wait even longer for restrictions to be lifted.
Stacey said: “Christine Slowey at Chatelherault has been fantastic throughout all of this and the most important thing was the despite all the setbacks we are now married.
“It was a fantastic day and I am so pleased to finally be Mrs Hutton!”
General Manager of South Lanarkshire Leisure and Culture, David Booth, said: “Congratulations to Stacey and Alistair and I wish them both a very long and happy marriage.
“We were just delighted to be able to help them out and make sure their special day went as smoothly as possible.”
