With an amazing location on the banks of Loch Lomond, Loch Lomond Shores offers a great place for landscape and nature-focused amateur photographers to take amazing and inspiring pictures of this iconic Scottish loch and its surroundings. Which is exactly why Loch Lomond Shores is launching a photography competition inviting them to capture a winning photograph in its new competition.
The competition will run from 31st October until 20th November and during this time, amateur photographers are invited to come along and take photographs anywhere at Loch Lomond Shores and of any piece of nature or landscape to then submit these for the chance to win a great prize.
It’s fun, it’s outdoors and it’s something that all the family can take part in. You can choose your image from iconic views of the loch, beaches, woodland, wildlife, bugs or anything that takes your fancy. All we ask is that you get creative!
We’ll have two categories for the competition – under 16 and over 16.
The prize for the Under 16 competition is 2 child tickets for Treezone where the winner can have a great time ‘hanging out’ with a friend which is valid during their 2021 season and an annual family season ticket for The Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre valid from December 2020 to December 2021.
The prize for the over 16 competition is a £200 voucher for Loch Lomond Leisure 2021 season where they can use the voucher for their watersports/paddlesports. The lucky winner will also receive an annual family season ticket for The Loch Lomond Bird of Prey Centre valid from December 2020 to December 2021.
Commenting on the competition, Audrey Calder from Loch Lomond Shores says: “With the current government restrictions, we’re very aware that many people are spending lots more time outdoors to keep safe and keep busy.
“We thought that this competition would be an ideal way of giving people another great reason to keep spending time outdoors this autumn and appreciate nature here at Loch Lomond Shores.
“Our unique location within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, along with easy access to all our facilities, means we can offer visitors, including those with young families and those who have difficulties with mobility, the stunning views and great outdoor adventures that will make this autumn a little bit better.”
Entrants will also get the chance to have their photograph displayed in an exhibition of those photographs submitted that will be on display at Loch Lomond Shores during December and January.
Entries to be uploaded in our photography competition section at www.lochlomondshores.com no later than Friday 20th November along with contact details and category ie. Under 16 or Over 16. Our panel of judges will make their decision on winners no later than Friday 27th November.
