Flip Out Glasgow has reopened in-line with the Scottish Government’s latest announcement on Coronavirus restrictions with a comprehensive safety, hygiene and cleaning plan in place.
The arena is hosting two festive themed sessions ahead of the big day. Christmas jumpers are welcome at a festive After Dark session on Friday 18 December from 7pm – 9pm, with free socks for anyone wearing a festive item of clothing. On Christmas Eve, there will be an Elf on the Shelf hunt with a chance to win a free pass if you spot all 10 elves in the arena.
With a reduced capacity, jumpers should pre-book online and watch a new safety briefing, which will include social distancing and other Coronavirus-related advice. All guests will have their temperature checked on arrival and hand sanitiser stations are located across the arena.
Due to social distancing restrictions, foam pits, the inflataflip and soft play areas remain closed. The Ninja Warrior course, parkour area and upstairs café will be open, offering visitors plenty of options for Flip Out fun.
“Christmas is always an exciting time at Flip Out, with visits from Santa and our much-loved snowball fights. While events are a bit different this year, we’re really looking forward to seeing people back in” said George Gallacher, general manager at Flip Out Glasgow.
“Along with many other businesses in the tourism and hospitality sector, we’ve gone through two significant periods of being closed to the public and we hope people enjoy getting active at Flip Out during these final weeks of 2020.
“We continue to follow Scottish Government guidelines and some of our areas remain closed, but we hope to fully re-open in 2021. To avoid disappointment, we urge everyone to book in advance and not just turn up on the day, as capacity is reduced.
“We understand that our guests want to feel as safe as possible and we have made every effort to do that. It’s been a difficult year for everyone and we hope that a trip to Flip Out can offer a bit of a distraction in the lead up to Christmas.”
Existing guidelines remain in place for customers with dwarfism, Downs syndrome, who are pregnant, are currently wearing a plaster cast or who exceed 125kg. Anyone who could be affected by this are asked to contact the centre for pre-screening information.
The Flip Out Glasgow website also allows customers to check availability and book tickets in advance, click here for further information.
