The store will be open Monday 11am – 4pm, Tuesday – Saturday 10am – 5pm.
The charity is hoping that the local community will choose to donate stock or volunteer their time in store as they open their doors.
The store which originally opened in October 2020 was only open for a short while before it was forced to close during lockdown.
Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland’s chain of 45 shops closed last year in line with government restrictions. The closures resulted in the charity losing £2 million in income from its charity shops over the last year.
They are urging the Bothwell community to get behind their local shop and support the charity as they get back on their feet after lockdown.
Customers will still find a unique shopping experience awaits them in the charity’s shop where they guarantee hidden gems, one of kind labels and vintage finds but this now includes a new quarantining system for receiving and handling stock to ensure that customers, volunteers and staff are protected.
Carole Edmonds, Head of Retail at Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland, said: “It is such a shame that our beautiful Bothwell Boutique was only open a matter of weeks before lockdown. We are hopeful that the locals will be as excited as we are to see it open again. We are delighted to be welcoming people back and seeing our local high streets busy and bustling again.
“The safety of our staff, volunteers and customers is a priority and we have new safety measures running the shop. All stock is quarantined for 72 hours, cough screens and hand sanitising stations are installed and there is a limit to the number of people allowed in the shop at any time.
“We are looking for volunteers to help keep the store running and we’re urging people in the local community to spare a few hours a week in the shop. So, if you would like to join our friendly team please pop in and have a chat. Our volunteers are vital in helping us run our shops and in raising funds to help people across Scotland live their lives to the full.
“We have always received the most amazing donations from the local community and are thankful for their continued support. To help the team manage donations, we’re asking anyone who has stock to donate to please give the shop a ring on 01698 852315 to arrange a drop off time.
“We want people to know that their donation means more to us than just a donation, it means with your help, we can continue to support people to do more than survive, we can help them really live again.”
If you’d like to volunteer at Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland’s Bothwell store please email their volunteer team at volunteering@chss.org.uk
Now in its 30th year, the show is the go-to exhibition for any self-builders or renovators looking for practical tips, expert advice, or the chance to view 1000s of products.
