About Classic Cars at Summerlee
It’s a packed programme of activity on Sunday 23rd April from 11am - 4pm, as families and car enthusiasts alike descend on Summerlee Museum for a great day out.
The annual Classic Car event will offer those who love everything car-related the opportunity to see around 100 vintage cars up close and personal. The day will also offer lots of fun family activities including tombola and raffles, as well as face painting.
For the 9th year in a row, car enthusiast Joe Kelly brings the Classic Car event to Coatbridge, in support of children's charity, CHAS.
Joe, who runs the Gartcosh Classic and Sport Car Club, and is the proud owner of several vintage cars, said; "Cars from across the country will be joining us for the annual event. Every year it just gets bigger and better - and this year is no exception! I thoroughly enjoy organising it - especially to help such a good cause.
Lu McNair, Museums Manager at Summerlee Museum added: "The annual Classic Car Day is always a great day out for all the family - with lots of activities to keep the kids entertained!
At Summerlee, we also have a heritage tram, mine tours, play-park and exhibition hall on site so there's something for everyone - no matter what the weather."
Car enthusiasts are also invited to feature their own vintage cars at the event. The car entry fee is £3.00 and must be booked in advance by calling Joe Kelly on 07721 875095.
Entry to the classic car show is free. It will take place at Summerlee Museum, Coatbridge on Sunday 23 April from 11am - 4pm (Museum open from 10am -5pm)
