About Scotlands Gardens Scheme
Scotland’s Gardens, a registered charity created in 1931, raises funds for other worthy charities by facilitating the opening of large and small gardens of horticultural interest throughout Scotland to the public.
60% of the funds raised at each garden opening are given to the charity chosen by the garden owner. Over 200 large and small charities benefit annually in this manner. 40% net of the funds raised are distributed to the charities supported by Scotland's Gardens which are:
The Queen's Nursing Institute Scotland which provides support for the professional development of community and primary nurses and the welfare of retired Queen's Nurses.
Perennial, The Gardeners Royal Benevolent Society which is the only charity dedicated to helping Scottish horticulturists in need.
Maggie's Cancer Caring Centres which help anyone affected by cancer through programmes of support designed to give people the tools they need to cope with the major upheaval cancer causes in their lives.
