Rutherglen Town Hall was originally constructed in 1862 and following a £12.5m refurbishment - this grade A listed site reopened in 2005 and is now a vital part of the community.
The Grand Hall is the location for the majority of the performances and you will find a varied schedule of events throughout the year. For more information or to book a show then contact the box office on 0141 613 5700. The Grand Hall is also available to hire for performances for more information contact South Lanarkshire Council on 0141 613 5700.
Rutherglen Town Hall Cafe:
Rutherglen Town Hall Cafe is located in the glass atrium and offers a light, bright area to enjoy a coffee and cake or a light lunch.
We offer a wide selection of snacks with various fillings along with hot and cold beverages and tasty home baking. We also provide a range of daily specials.
The café is the proud recipient of the Healthy Living Award, this award recognises businesses which offer customers healthier options regardless of their food choices, utilise healthier ingredients and cooking methods and clearly identify healthy menu items thus allowing our customers to make an informed choice. In order to achieve the award we have reduced the salt and fat content of most items, offer a selection of cereal bars and fruit, skimmed and semi skimmed milk and have amended existing recipes to make them even healthier than before.
Conference and events:
Rutherglen Town Hall's meeting rooms offer a variety of flexible accommodation to meet the needs of any conference booker. Whether you are looking to organise a meeting for 10 or a conference for 150 - you will find a meeting room to suit your requirements.
Weddings at Rutherglen Town Hall:
Rutherglen Town Hall offers a blend of the old and new by combining the Grand Hall and the Mezzanine Bar to create the perfect wedding venue. The Grand Hall can take up to 150 guests for the wedding meal and 200 guests for the evening reception.
Disabled access:
Rutherglen Town Hall is fully accessible. Facilities include disabled parking bays, level access throughout the venue, lifts to all floors, accessible toilet facilities, hearing loop and automatic entrance doors.
