Carluke & District Gala Day is an annual community event taking in groups, organisations and schools from Carluke, Law and Braidwood.
Each year a Gala Queen, champion and Court members are chosen to represents each of the schools and each year a Crowning Lady is chosen to place the crown on the chosen girls head.
There is a procession through the town of Carluke finishing up at the towns market square where the formal part of the day happens with the Crowning Ceremony of the Gala Queen and the announcement and handing out of the trophies from a variety of sections.
There are stalls, fun fair rides and live acts and music throughout the day for everyone to enjoy, weather dependant.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
