Besides the contest itself, there will be a wide variety of interactive events for all ages to enjoy and many opportunities to feel inspired and learn some new skills. You'll find face painting, a children’s tent, wood carving workshops, outdoors woodland crafts and games, with more being added to the list and confirmed daily...
All the carvings produced will be for sale in the auction at the end of the day, with a ‘quick carving’ taking place after the main competition, which will produce smaller, more accessible works of art for sale. Witnessing wood being carved into something beautiful with a chainsaw is quite spectacular, providing a special atmosphere for all the senses!
All profits from the event will benefit local community and projects and help the event become a sustainable and annual festival.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
