From the designed landscape of the Dalzell estate with its curling pond and tree avenues, to the Haugh itself which was transformed due to creation of a bund, Baron's Haugh is a treasure chest of historical delights. Not only that, but this very history has created the diverse mix of habitats we see today benefiting the wonderful wildlife of the reserve.
On this walk we will guide you through the landscape, explaining its history and showing you the evidence of past management that is still visible to this day. We will also show you how wildlife has adapted to the changing landscape ensuring it can continue to thrive.
Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
