Gavin from Indie Brands will be showcasing two premium drinks with strong links to The Phillipines. Don Papa 7 Year Old Rum is made on the island of Negros and Santa Ana Gin, although made in France, is inspired by dancehall days of 1920s Manila.
Don Papa Rum is produced on the island of Negros, or Sugarlandia as it’s known to the locals in The Phillipines. This rich, smooth rum has flavours of ripe mandarins, soft brown sugar and vanilla, followed by oaky spices and a rich, dark honey finish. It's great in cocktails!
Santa Ana Gin is produced in the Charente region of France and created using Philippine botanicals Ylang-Ylang and Alpinia for delicate floral top notes, in addition to Calamansi and Dalandan for a soft, tropical citrus palate. This beautiful gin is an homage to the dancehall days of 1920s Manila and its crown jewel, the legendary Santa Ana Cabaret, once the largest in the world.
