The show features two great Scottish bands, Main Street Blues and Lights Out by Nine for this thrilling Double Bill event.
Main Street Blues are no strangers to East Kilbride and have performed on a number of occasions. The band are rooted in up-tempo electric blues, combining strong R&B and funk influences together with strong Hammond Keys, Horns and Harmonies. For this show, the band have revisited their sell out theatre show ‘Kings Of The Blues’ and have now adapted the show to present the bands tribute to three great blues legends, celebrating the life and music of Freddy King, BB King and Albert King.
Lights Out By Nine are ’one of the top Soul/ Funk Scottish bands with their origins firmly rooted in soul music. Mixed with a powerhouse R&B and New Orleans funk, their latest album Here and Now features a crop of original soul plus great R&B songs delivered in the band's trademark style with Hammond organ, Horns and Harmonies very much to the fore. Over the years, the band have shared stages with many touring bands, including Status Quo, Paul Carrack, Nazareth, The Zombies, Buddy Guy and Average White Band and have had guest vocalists over the years, included Hamish Stuart, Dan McCafferty, Ray Wilson, Jim Diamond, Rab Noakes and Tam White.
This Double Bill show guarantees to be a winner for both Blues and Soul fans and should not be missed.
