Appearing at ACOUSTIC*CAFE*NIGHT@THE GRANARY on 19th JANUARY the fabulously talented Callum Morton, Glasgow based virtuoso mandolinist.
Callum will be appearing with
Cahalian Morrison who is currently touring from the USA and fellow Fountaineers’ guitarist, Michael Wright.
The band will showcase stunning instrumentals and close three part harmony vocals.
Callum Morton is an accomplished acoustic musician, drawing inspiration from his studies at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and at East Tennessee State University, he delights audiences with a unique and exciting sound.
Callum’s debut single will be released this spring as the epoch to a full length album soon to be released.
Cahalen Morrison, originally hailing from the high desert of Northern New Mexico has made a name for himself over the past decade touring solo, as a duo with Eli West, or with his roadhouse country band Western Centuries.
Cahalen has played shows and festivals all over the world and performed on stage with the likes of Tim O’Brien, Kelly Joe Phelps, Hot Rize, Crooked Still and Kris Drever.
Equally at home on guitar, banjo, mandolin, singing three part harmony or unaccompanied, he has carved out a place for himself as a unique voice in American music. An insightful and poetic wordsmith and songwriter, a subtle and accomplished roots multi-instrumentalist and a captivating singer.
“Cahalen is making music the world needs.”– TIM O’BRIEN
Michael Wright, singer and guitarist is inspired by guitar heroes such as Tony Rice, Bryan Sutton and Chris Eldridge.
His own guitar style is a tasteful blend of old time and progressive bluegrass, while creating the centre stage rhythm section of the band.
