9 TO 5 THE MUSICAL tells the story of three women pushed to boiling point by their sexist and egotistical boss. Set in the late 1970s. This hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is outrageous, thought-provoking, and even a little romantic.
In a hilarious turn of events, Violet, Judy and Doralee live out their wildest fantasy – giving their boss the boot! While Hart remains "otherwise engaged," the women give their workplace a dream makeover, taking control of the company that had always kept them down. Will they turn the office around or will events unravel when the CEO pays an unexpected visit?
Inspired by the iconic 20th Century Fox picture made popular in the 80s and brought to you by Dolly herself, this hilarious production is about teaming up, standing up and taking care of business! Hey, a girl can scheme, can’t she?
9 to 5 the Musical was originally produced on Broadway by Robert Greenblatt, April 2009. This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International.
