Celebrate our UNESCO World Heritage status with special events featuring the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI)! Enjoy our Summer Market from 10 AM to 3 PM with a variety of stalls featuring crafts, foods, and gifts including Auray Candles, Perfect Pup Pals, the Lavender Hart Co, and GPS Vintage. Children’s activities based around our historical ties with water will be available for free all day.
World Heritage and Water Power tours can be pre-booked or booked on the day at visitor reception. This exclusive guided tour will focus on the topics of World Heritage and Water Power, in celebration of UNESCO World Heritage, in partnership with the RNLI, and as part of our World Heritage and Water event!
Join our expert guide as you explore why and how New Lanark became a World Heritage Site, take a fascinating look at how David Dale and Richard Arkwright harnessed the power of water to power the mills, and how we still use water to power New Lanark today.
