Eilidh Grant: Vocals, Acoustic Guitar
With a love for traditional and contemporary folk alike, underpinned by a passion for the works of Robert Burns, Eilidh’s stunning voice beautifully renders both classic folk songs and original material and has made a considerable impression on the British and European folk scenes. Her vocal style won her the Danny Kyle award at the 2004 Celtic Connections festival and since then she has gone on to perform at some of the best venues in the country and has shared stages with some of the best and most well-known musicians of today.
2011 saw the release of her debut album “Masks and Smiles”, the album winning best Traditional/Folk recording at the Scottish New Music Awards in October of that year.
2013 saw Eilidh joining highly regarded borders based band Real Time touring across Britain and Europe over the following six years.
She is one third of the Scottish/country girl band Celtic Quines. The band also features Celine Donoghue and Katherine MacDougall.
Stunning three part harmonies with great songs and tunes make the trio an act worth catching live.
Eilidh released her second album “Charms of Nature” in 2018 and also embarked on studying traditional music at the University of the Highlands and Islands, graduating in July 2020.
In 2020, Eilidh set up her own music school, teaching a wide range of musical instruments to all ages across the west coast of Scotland.
