After graduating from Heriot Watt University in 2019 with a degree in brewing and distilling, Sandy McKelvie formed Two Towns Down as an outlet for his creative passion for beer. Sandy began Two Towns Down in his parents’ garage, where he stored the cans he brewed as a nomadic brewer, purchasing time on other breweries’ kits to create his magic.
The dream was to eventually open a brewery and taproom in his hometown of Paisley. Two Towns Down was to become the first brewery in Paisley for 125 years – since the Sacell Brewery unfortunately ceased trading. Paisley is at the heart of the brand, as evidenced by the beautiful label designs!
Two Towns Down officially opened its doors in 2022, and its tap room is open to visitors on Fridays and Saturdays. Their beers are made with locally-sourced ingredients, and they're all vegetarian-friendly, with the majority also being vegan-friendly!
Come along this Saturday to learn more about the brewery and taste a few of their fantastic beers!
