Yogabellies for Pregnancy Yoga Classes
Saturday 10.30am-11.45am, The Village Centre, 12 Maxwell Drive East Mains East Kilbride G74 4HG
The classes run in 8 week blocks costing £89
Each class lasts an hour and 15 minutes and you will also receive a YogaBellies Birth Pack, which includes information on Pre natal nutrition, breathing techniques and some local pregnancy services information. There is also a YogaBellies Deep Relaxation & Self Hypnosis for Childbirth CD included in your pack.
Who is this course for?
Any mum-to-be over 12 weeks pregnant.
If you are experiencing a normal pregnancy and would like to join the course in your third trimester, this is fine, but we would advise you to speak with your doctor or midwife.
If you have any pre-existing medical conditions or have had any serious problems during pregnancy, please run this past your GP or midwife before starting the class and discuss with myself.
I havent tried Yoga before - is this course for me?
Absolutely! Most of our mums are new to Yoga and trying it for the first time. That said, if you have had a good Yoga practice prior to pregnancy this is also a worthwhile course.
What happens at the classes?
I only take a maximum of 14 mums per class so you will get lots of one-to-one attention and each week we cover a different topic such as bonding with baby, pre natal nutrition or preparing for the big day. We also cover things like breathing techniques for labour and positions for labour too. The yoga postures are all suitable for pregnancy and will be adapted as per your trimester, and focus on building strength and stamina and keeping you flexible and fit. This class offers yoga for pregnancy but also covers birth education and offers the opportunity to meet like minded mums locally.
I will provide:
Yoga mats, blocks, straps for use in the class
(should you wish to purchase your own accessories I can supply a price list)
You need to bring:
Comfortable clothing that you can move in ? leggings/ jog suit bottoms and a vest/ t shirt should be fine
